Pleasure Point Music Publishing, Vol. 1

This EP is a collection of songs written by two California-based songwriters, Rob Owen and Damon Danielson of Pleasure Point Music Publishing. The original intention of this collection was strictly for licensing purposes. However, during the sessions, the songs began to take a life of their own. With growing interest from fans and radio, Rob and Damon felt a need to release their work - (as well as future works) - as volumes. All of the songs are quite different from one another. "Looking for a Love," is a Calvin Harris meets Capital Cities type vibe with lyrics that convey a sense of yearning for love - either worldly or other-worldly. "California Here I Come" began as a simple acoustic song. However, the track ended up with layers of vocal and guitar tracks accompanied by an award winning drum programmer, Wayne Wilkins (Natasha Bedingfield's "A Pocketful of Sunshine.") "Saturday" is a song inspired by John Cruz's beautiful and almost pensive vibe. The composition gets into that uncomfortable head space that happens after the first date - when neither person wants to make the next move... (yet they both desperately want each other.) In the studio, "Let Go," with its instrumentation, sent the song screaming toward a Mumford and Sons type tune. The bridge is as if it is out of an old Pink Floyd tune. This EP is the first volume produced by Pleasure Point Music. Keep your ears out for Volume II to be released later in 2016.
