Repertoire for Men's Voices: Vol. 1
Dr. Christopher Aspaas '95, assistant professor of choral/vocal music at St. Olaf College, earned his Ph.D. in choral music education from Florida State University in Tallahassee, his master's degree in choral conducting from Michigan State University in East Lansing, and his bachelor's degree in voice performance from St. Olaf College. In addition to the Viking Chorus, Aspaas conducts the largest upperclassmen choir on campus, the 120-member St. Olaf Chapel Choir. The Viking Chorus of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, is a group of more than 80 first-year student men who have been organized to sing the highest quality literature. They perform a program of music that includes motets, cantata movements and anthems, as well as contemporary choral pieces, spirituals, folk songs, and music traditionally associated with men's singing groups.
