Toby & The Tremors are: Toby Rhodes – Lead Vocals, Keyboards Kevin “Stik” Paul – Guitar, Vocals Larry O’Connor – Bass, Vocals Tim Scruggs – Drums, Vocals Bobby Imundo – Sax, Vocals Continuing the band’s creative musical journey, the group has released their second album: HOTEL BLUE. The album kicks in with the title track’s haunting melody and lyrics. Other stand-out tracks include “LETTER FROM LONDON” with its “Stones-like” bass line, and “MR. NOBODY” which has the makings of becoming a Blues classic. Another track, written by Toby and Kevin Lee is “THESE LETTERS,” which captures the loneliness of our troops in a distant land and the importance of receiving cherished mail from home. Also, there is a revved-up version of Robert Parker’s “BAREFOOTIN’” with Stik’s smokin’ guitar and Toby’s raw vocals. Toby Rhodes From T.V. commercials to radio jingles, “The Voice” has that identifiable quality and razor edge that cuts through your soul and hammers home its message. “Blue Eyed Soul” has now been reinvented with a new millennium touch. Toby has co-written songs with Kevin Lee and The Lonesome City Kings on MCA Records. Kevin “Stik” Paul A true Blues guitar veteran, “Stik” grew up in Chicago where he formed his style while working the “Chitlin Circuit.” Recently, his music has carried him overseas to support his various releases on the Provouge label in Amsterdam. “Stik” squeezes more emotion out of a Fender Stratocaster than most, and this effort is no exception. Larry O’Connor Veteran bass player Larry O’Connor’s credits include playing with the Joe Kelly Blues Band and Ted Aliotta of “Lake Shore Drive” fame. Larry adds just the right punch to the band. Tim “Timmy” Scruggs The other half of the foundation is also a Music Major. After attending the conservatory of music, Tim stretched out with acts such as Moonflower, Prey’n Mantyz, and Ted Aliotta. His rock solid style has brought him to play shows at Soldier Field and other similar events. As Toby puts it, “Charlie Watts was busy, so I called Timmy!” In February 2004, Timmy and the 101st Rock Division, entertained our troops in Kuwait, Iraq, U.A.E. and several countries in Africa. Bobby Imundo The latest addition to the band, sax player, Bobby Imundo is the perfect fit for the group with his hard-hitting soulful solos. He has done work for The Ides of March and Streetplayer, which was produced by the group Chicago.
