Six Lovers Deep
John Black is a NY based songwriter who has been writing and performing music for over a decade in various different forms. His style is straight-forward and catchy pop, utilizing lyrically-driven material to tell stories through music. He has thus far been best known by his audience as the front-man, founder, and primary songwriter behind two groups: The now-defunct pop/rock/alternative outfit Sarah's Redemption, and the late-90's style rock group Makeshift Lullaby, both of which have since disbanded. After a three-year hiatus from performing under a moniker, spending time writing new material and honing in on his writing style, he has now hit the pavement as a solo act with one goal in mind: To create honest, unapologetic pop, with a pulse. His debut single as a solo act, "Six Lovers Deep" was recorded in the summer of 2013 in Poughkeepsie, NY with producer Mike Kalajian at the helm. After a significant hiatus from the full album project to which it belonged, it was finally completed in the summer of 2015 and released as a single.
