Gracias A La Vida
Tanja Solnik has been singing folk and international music from an early age. By the age of eight, she had joined her first performer's union and was singing almost nightly. She soon appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show", Mike Douglas, the John Gary Show, Jeanne Dixon and the the "Today Show" and later became a regular on NBC's ground breaking children's show, "Take A Giant Step". As a young adult, she recorded several singles in Italy, along with a movie theme -she also recorded a French language dance version of "Hey Miki" for Saban Records in that time period. Living in Los Angeles, she combined studio singing, live performances and song writing. Later, she began cantorial studies with the incomparable Cantor Allan Michelson. Around the time she moved to Nashville, she began her own record company and co-produced and recorded two award-winning albums with Jim Hershman and Gary Nesteruk. She still lives in Nashville, where she spends her time working on several long range musical projects - when her role as "soccer mom" permits.
