With twenty years of experience performing music, Brian Chinn channels a wide range of styles and techniques under the name Warm Gun. Though rooted in hip-hop, his production and songwriting has been shaped by elements of RnB, indie rock, shameless pop music, and blues. Whether dark or uplifting, you’re going to hear the soul in each Warm Gun song. In addition to Warm Gun’s solo work, he has been collaborating extensively over recent years with artists like Dave B and London Summers, as well as Black Umbrella’s own Raz Simone, Romaro Franceswa, and Sam Lachow. These efforts have led to a tour with Macklemore (2016), showcases at SXSW, many shows up and down the West Coast, and more. RARE CANDY While the self-produced Rare Candy isn’t the rst project from Warm Gun, it is the most important. With appearances from Dave B, Raz Simone, Romaro Franceswa, and others, it offers a wide dynamic between the hard and the sweet. This contrast, along with the lyrical storyline, illustrates the ups and downs of a modern relationship—its values, distractions, and complications. Rare Candy will be available through all major outlets this winter, 2016.
