Azimuth Coordinator (1975-1980)
Recorded live in Vancouver, B.C. on April 18th, 1975. One of the greatest features of a PF live show was the presentation of music yet to be released. Throughout their history, they gave their audiences a taste of what was yet to come, works in progress. On this recording we get a sample of the "Animals" album that would be released 2 years later. "Raving and Drooling" would later be "Sheep" and far more psychadelic than the album version complete with screams from Roger ala "Careful with That Axe". "You've Gotta Be Crazy" would later become "Dogs" and once again very different in spots from the album version. The crowd is quite unexpectedly treated to a performance of "Echoes" much to their shock and delight. Recorded live in Quebec on July 6th, 1977 Another classic PF performance from the Animals tour. . On this tour they performed both albums back-to-back. Recorded live in Quebec on July 6th, 1977, this concert has some of the longest jams of the tour with two songs over 20 minutes long. Shine on You Crazy Diamond (part 6-9) is very extended with some incredible soloing from Gilmour and Wright as they play around with the accoustics of the arena. Sounds incredibly spacey, almost frightening in its delivery. Even Pigs (3 Different Ones) gets the extended treatment, near 9 minutes longer than the studio version. Recorded live in L.A., California on February 7th, 1980. Another fantastic performance of the Wall live including many extended jams.
