FUTURE PAST (Deluxe)
"When we first came into the studio at the end of 2018, I tried to convince the guys that all we had to do was write two or three tracks for the EP," Duran Duran vocalist Simon Le Bon said. "Four days later, when I had a core of over 25 strong songs that all deserved attention, I realized that we would be in the studio for a long time, but that was before Covid." Initially, the musicians planned to release the album in late spring 2020, but then it was decided to postpone the release to autumn 2020. Well, in the fall, the band announced on their Twitter account that the release of the album was suspended due to COVID-19. On January 13, 2021, Rolling Stone magazine included the album in the list of the "54 most anticipated albums of 2021". And finally, on October 22, what everyone was looking forward to happened: the 15th studio album Future Past by the British band Duran Duran was released. In addition to the band's musicians themselves, a truly international team participated in the work on the album, judge for yourself: Tove Lo is a singer from Sweden; Mike Garson is an American pianist who has worked with David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails and The Smashing Pumpkins at various times; Italian Giorgio Moroder is a producer and keyboardist, "Father of Disco", is well known to everyone; Chai is a Japanese-girl punk gang; Erol Alkan is a producer and DJ, Turkish Cypriot by origin.
