Scepter Studios Sessions
Fans of The Velvet Underground are no stranger to the holy grail that is The Scepter Studio Sessions. The long lost acetate was discovered in 2002 at a Chelsea flea market and purchased for $0.75. The acetate was then sold for $25,000 on Ebay and the rumours started circulating immediately about an official release of the uber rare outtakes. Years passed and finally we have an official repress! The album features different, rougher mixes from the classic 1967 album and three completely different takes of "Venus In furs", "I'm Waiting for the Man," and "Heroin." A true gem with a great story behind it. - See more at: http://turntablelab.com/products/the-velvet-underground-scepter-studio-acetate-lp#sthash.0mepfb2A.dpuf
