Even before K-POP was a word, Winterplay (Juhan Lee) was making waves in Asia for both the jazz and crossover music fans. Eventually, he coined the K-Jazz in the early 2012, now a familiar word in the Korean Jazz community. He was the first ever Korean Jazz Musician to go Number 1 in Itunes Hong Kong and Japan in the Jazz Charts. Winterplay's trendy and unique style of fusing jazz elements into pop music structure has been a hit point in both domestic and international sales. The new single, Gganbu (067 &240) was inspired by the Netflix sensation drama “Squid Games". Episode 6 from the "Squid Game" series was titled "Gganbu', which in Korean means "friends forever and always". He was deeply moved by the friendship between drama characters, player 067 and player 240, where one eventually gave her own life to save the other, inspiring him to write this song. This jazz ballad features a Korean traditional instrument Haegum, playing the main melody, and a beautiful acoustic bass solo. The depth of their playing can be compared to the two characters in Episode 6 of Squid Games Drama.
