Ozzy Meets the Priest
Bootleg Rob Halford vocals tracks 1–9 Ozzy vocals 10–13 This was the last date from Ozzy's "Farewell Tour";Ozzy invited Black Sabbath, with Ronnie James Dio on vocals,as the opening act for his two last shows in Costa Mesa.Ozzy also invited Bill Ward for a reunion of the original line up of Sabbath on stage as the very end of his career.Dio don't accepted to be opening act for Ozzy and Halford tooks his place as the singer of the band. This bootleg is a recording from the second night;the last one. The show with Halford was really good, the whole band is superb;Halford is excited at every moment. There's some really good versions of "Sympton of the Universe","Heaven & Hell" and "Neon Knights". The show of the original Black Sabbath is amazing, excelent, superb, everything. The band is in the best shape.Personally I love this four tracks. The show starts with the best "Black Sabbath" version ever.Iommi had some guitar problems in the middle of the song.In the end,his solo is F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C.This show was recorded to be included on Ozzy's "Live & Loud",but the guitar problems of this very song were arranged in studio,so we can't hear anything strange. The band also plays two wonderful versions of "Fairies Wear Boots" and "Iron Man". The end came with "Paranoid",of course, the inmortal Sabbath classic. Ozzy was really happy, and the performance of the band was one of the best of their entire history. Great bootleg. Out of print.Hard to find.
