The Universal Play
by Cesar Lanzarini Inspired by Hermann Hesse's Glass Bead Game and influenced by minimalist elements, this work shows a different style of Gandalf. Here, he developed a new direction, wide orchestral passages unfolding between minimalistic periodic sound patterns. It was divided into six phases (tracks): Man's earthbound life and his permanent search for sense (1); investigation of the microcosmos and its laws (2); a journey across the universe past galaxies and milky ways (3); a look through the "gate to infinity" (4); transcendence of the "ocean of time" (5); and, finally, the experience of origin and destination of all being, the source of pure love (6).
