Take You Down

The title track from his next EP, “Take You Down” comes off immediately as what it is: a “summertime jam.” Digging deeper, though, and this euphoric banger has a more cinematic quality, which Bassnectar recently explained: “I started it while I was on vacation, and the general theme is basically falling in love and that slow-motion feeling you get when you plunge backwards into something overwhelming, but never hit the ground.” It feels like something I’d write to explain a tune just like this, and it works perfectly in what he tried to convey.
