Licht und Liebe features Schuberts vocal duets, trios and quartets - works that reveal the full variety of his creative impulses. Composed for the famous Schubertiads - the composers intimate gatherings of friends - they were sometimes written in dialogue and sometimes in unison; they were at times close to opera, or to Singspiel scenes or choral music.
