DreamSongs
TRACEY JAMES MARINO is a pianist and singer as well as a composer and producer. Although classically trained, Tracey plays all styles of music and can learn just about any song "by ear" after listening to it once or twice. Her songwriting career started at the age of 5, when she wrote her first composition on the piano. Tracey's CD recording of original piano music, "DreamSongs," was inspired by the classical pieces she learned as a child. It includes the song "Dusk To Dawn," which is a composition she wrote when she was 8. "Although I play and sing just about any kind of music, I really enjoy the complexity of classical music and the tranquility of New Age music. This CD is a blend of these two styles." Tracey and her husband Vance Marino are film/TV composers. Their song "Carnival Lights" was placed in the Touchstone Pictures/Disney film "The Last Song," by Nicholas Sparks, starring Miley Cyrus and Greg Kinnear. The Marinos are composers for a popular daytime talk show and its affiliates and have four holidays songs in print. The cover for "DreamSongs" is an original watercolor painting by award-winning artist Richard L. Weddleton. This renowned artist specializes in historic transportation art, but agreed to design and paint a landscape for the CD cover. It truly captures the dreamy quality of the music.
