Evolutions

Evolutions is a two-disc jazz collection performed by Guam jazz icon Patrick Palomo and Friends. Patrick’s “friends” are some of the finest musicians on island. Transcending generations, these musicians came together for the love of jazz. Patrick states, “One of my greatest joys on this project was the opportunity to work with so many young, talented musicians. It is good to know jazz has no age or boundaries.” Evolutions is boundless - spanning original compositions, jazz standards, traditional Chamorro, classic cover tunes and even original rap. Of the 20 cuts on the CD, 13 are original compositions by Patrick alone or in collaboration with Jesse Bais, Vince Mesa, Mike Di Amore or Brandon Eclavea. This is Patrick’s fourth CD and his third time to collaborate with producer and engineer Ed Ulloa. It is their most ambitious project to date and they are very happy with the sound and emotions captured in this album.
