Hot off the heels of his latest venture with Defected Records' DFTD offshoot, and his chart topping success with "I Wanna Feel", we're extremely excited to present Secondcity's debut on Saved. The Chicago-born Londoner continues to make a name for himself with the aptly titled Technique EP, which kicks off with the lead track Deep Down. Deep Down fuses chunky beats with an infectious vocal to create an A side that manages to be both deep and banging all at once. Moving onto the B side, Technique (And We Go), and it becomes clear why there is so much talk about this young producer. Technique (And We Go), is a medley of tribal drums and piercing basslines combined with a somewhat familiar vocal urging us to "feel it!", something that the record certainly achieves. Finally we get to the culmination of the EP, the third and final track, We Go Again is a totally different take on the b side, using the habitual drums to a different effect, and creating a record independent of itself. Secondcity's Technique EP may be something slightly different for his fans, but it's clear that this young, eclectic producer is making a name for himself, and the quality of the productions and the reactions on the floor speak for themselves!
