Don't Wake Me
Trent Park (born Joshua Redden) grew up in Syracuse, New York. With his parents being ministers, his craft of music began in church where he played piano and sang every Sunday through his teens to college graduation days. His interest of writing and arranging were developed throughout his college years, but experience in a music studio internship ignited his passion to become involved in producing. He took his own initiative to start production on his freshman EP "Don't Wake Me" which was completed and released in summer 2013. "Don't wake me was my mentality during the production of this album. The realities of my environment to complete this project were paralyzing at times, but I continued to stay with my dream." The EP has a certain ambience that contains movie score type progressions blended with smooth R&B vocals. The lyrics mimic literature with layered meanings and strong metaphors. Upon the release of the album Trent is already developing concepts for his next EP. "I always have a sense of urgency. I am definitely in a creative season and I want to capitalize on it." Be on the look out for the eclectic sounds of Trent Park!
