The Best of Randy Crawford
Randy first came to attention in the UK when she fronted the infectious single "Street Life" by US jazz-funk group, The Crusaders, in 1979. The single peaked at number five in the UK charts and paved the way for a clutch of memorable Crawford solo hits from 1980 to 1986, with the poignant "One Day I’ll Fly Away" reaching number two in 1980. 1981 was an even better year for the singer, who scored three UK chart entries with the yearning "You Might Need Somebody", Brook Benton’s atmospheric ballad, "Rainy Night In Georgia" and the romantic title track from her bestselling Secret Combination album.
