Halloween in the USA
-With her love of Halloween and her positive disposition, Amy Shepherd turned a negative into a positive. As a former employee for a Halloween company, headquartered in Michigan, she “… was shocked to be let go, right before the opening of Halloween season.” Instead of being down and out over the situation, she decided to write a catchy song about Halloween in the USA. “Who doesn’t love Halloween?” she asked. “Kids, teens, adults… it’s a season for everybody, no matter where you live!” Written with the help of her husband and fellow musician, Dave Shepherd, all the pieces seem to fall into place. The single has received great reviews across Michigan. “It is 2010’s answer to the Monster Mash,” said Amy. Sounding like a mix of Sugarland and Chuck Berry the song is “catchy, rockin’ and cute.” The song was recorded in Flushing, MI with members of the Flea Flicker band, Bill Hough and Sean Strong. “They are amazing musicians and the timing factor to get this song out was perfect.” About the artists (D & A) - Dave and Amy Shepherd, (husband and wife) have been playing music together for 22 years. One of Dave’s first songs, “Please Don’t Get Fat” was written to his wife whose love of candy and junk food caused him some concern. Their next release is a graduation song that will out in the spring.
