Peace Volume 1
The Unconditional Peace Movement is a spiritual movement and non-profit organization whose purpose is to spread a global message that ‘Peace Begins Within’. The core principle is that we each need to take total responsibility for our inner transformation in order to create a real change in the world. Peace on Earth is an imperative if the planet and humanity are to survive. UPM is dedicated to promoting music that helps the global shift in consciousness and is totally committed to the belief that only a Total Spiritual Revolution is the answer to the current world situation. This compilation album is an eclectic mix of ambience, acoustic and vocal songs, brought together by various international artists to spread the message of inner peace. Notes by Kavi Jezzie Hockaday of UPM and compiler of this CD. Romerium opens the CD with his track ‘Your Love is like an Ocean to me’. An ambient piece that settles the listener in and brings calm. Kenny of Fragileworld then transports you to a dimension of beauty with ‘Prophecy’. When I heard this piano piece it inspired me to create the UPM CD. I absolutely adore it. Wilson Noble then sings the first song on the album, ‘Stars’. Wilson is a committed peace campaigner and highly motivated Scottish singer who is destined for great things. He is quirky and original … great! Martin Van then takes us on a journey into a musical landscape of ‘Pranayama’. This is an edited version; I would love to have put the whole track on but didn’t have the space! If you can find the whole track I suggest you get hold of it. He is a really good musician and very professional. J.S.Epperson is Higher-Music and his ‘A Quiet Walk’ is the high frequency point of the album. Enigmatic and curious. Chinmaya Dunster … I am honoured to call him a friend. I knew his previous albums from New Earth Records but the more I heard this song ‘All is Worship’ the more I fell in love with it. It has such purity and delicacy. Emy Berti is the only woman on here! This is not out of choice … but no women had offered themselves to the cause until now. When I heard Emy’s song ‘The Code’ on her Myspace site I knew I just had to have it on the CD. I wrote to her and she said yeah. It is a beautiful song. Pheo Rose is a master of healing music and ‘The Vast’ is a delicate moment of healing. Kavi Jezzie Hockaday is me and the song is ‘Children of the Universe’. It is dedicated to all those who are working hard on their deconditioning and waking up to their God Nature. ‘You Shine Bright’ is the next song and the ‘popiest’ of the album. I have seen Adam perform when he was with a band and he was like a bright star, so full of life and energy. A natural front man and a very talented young musician. UPM performs a rendition of ‘People (what are we fighting for?)’. This song has been through so many incarnations. It sums up how things are. Rich Maya is a fantastic musician from Bath in the UK. I wanted to give him more space for a longer song with singing but this tune ’A few notes for Flora’ rounded off the album so perfectly that I had to go with it. He is a great talent and I would recommend you listen to him. He has a track called ‘Lisa’s Harbour’ on his MySpace site. Listen to it and see if you don’t weep. And that’s it. I have listened to this album hundreds of times. It is fantastic if you want something beautiful to play while you are reading, writing or surfing the web. It brings peace and it transmits joy and love. The musicians have donated all profits from this CD to the Unconditional Peace Movement.
