This is the third release from The Capsules. Bio: The Capsules are a Lawrence, KS based trio, who create melodic and luxurious harmonies that gel into a delicious cocktail of sound. Fronted by guitarist/ vocalist Julie Shields and bassist Jason Shields, the band have perfected their own unique brand of hazy dream pop, which has been compared to Mazzy Star, The Sundays, and Cocteau Twins. Yet, unlike their predecessors, The Capsules aren\'t afraid to dabble with high-energy riffs, layers of distortion and sample-driven drum loops. Originally Julie and Jason were members in the band Shallow and, in the late 90\'s, put out four CD\'s on NYC label Zero Hour Records. Shallow are recognized for having created some of the most aurally adventurous albums of the 20th century. The Capsules maintain the wistful timbre they had refined in Shallow but possessed a new sense of confidence. The Capsules released their first CD in 2002, Reverser, which was a college radio favorite and the recipient of a many superlative reviews. That year the band was also summoned to custom write a song for the popular Spongebob Squarepants television series. Their 2004 sophomore release, Someone For Everyone, was equally as impressive. The track Light of Path landed on a CD compilation put out by the indie rock magazine LOSINGTODAY giving The Capsules enormous international exposure. In late 2004 the trio released a six-song e.p., Home, which features the track Down on Me, a fresh adaptation of the song from The Jesus and Mary Chain\'s Darklands album. And in 2005, The Cycle Starts again from the same CD was selected to appear in the final episode of the PBS television show, Roadtrip Nation.
