Kym Sims is an American singer, whose biggest success came outside her home market. Kym began her career as a background vocalist at Motown Records and was also featured as an advertising jingle singer for McDonald's and Double Mint Gum. Soon she was breaking into the pop/dance market with her massive hits, 'Take My Advice and 'Too Blind To See It,' which went to #1 on the U.K. charts. The dance anthem, 'Too Blind to See It,' spent 12 weeks on the U.K. Singles Chart over the festive period of 1991/1992 and eventually charted in the States with an appearance on Club MTV with Downtown Julie Brown. Her follow up single, 'Take My Advice' reached #13 in the UK and quickly became another club hit. Kym's full length album entitled, 'Too Blind To See It' peaked at #39 in the U.K. Albums Chart. The album was produced by Steve 'Silk' Hurley, with co-production credits shared with E-Smoove and 4 Time Grammy Award winner Maurice Joshua. Maurice Joshua is known across the globe as a brilliant producer, remixer, DJ and adding his magic touch to other leading artists such as Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Beyonce. The album would spawn two more singles. 'A Little Bit More,' which peaked at #30 in the U.K. Top 100 charts and the final R & B single, "Shoulda Known Better.' That same year, Kym also co-wrote for other artists, including, CeCe Peniston's biggest hit, 'Keep On Walkin' (#1 in U.S. Dance & #15 in Hot 100), Tene Williams R & B hit, 'Good Morning' and Jamie Loring's Pop hit, 'Crazy.' After the success of the album, 'Too Blind To See It,' Kym continued to release more dance singles throughout the 90's. She teamed up with Band of Gypsies (Producers/Remixers) to release, 'I Must Be Free,' in 1995 which peaked in the States at #6 in the U.S. Dance Charts. The following year, she released another dance/pop single, 'We Gotta Love', which peaked at #9 in the U.S. Dance Charts. In 1997, Kym provided the lead vocals for 'Keep On Groovin' by One Vision under the alias, Shimma and she later released the dance single, 'Just Can't Get Enough' in 2000. 'Keep on Keepin On'....and that's what Kym Sims is doing!
