Marie Fisker is from Copenhagen, Denmark. As a singer she has appeared in various contexts before releasing her long awaited debut album Ghost Of Love in 2009. With the album she surfaced as a composer and bandleader with an original, strong and personal sound. Her music is a fine blend of down tempo rock’n’roll tunes that takes you on a sonic journey somewhere between Sibylle Baier and Velvet Underground. Sometimes noisy, sometimes soft but always with Marie’s silky and passionate voice in the centre of the songs. In her native Denmark she is the winner of the Danish Music Critics Award ”Steppeulven” (2010, hope of the year). …The Cabin Project album I would say is quite frank one of the best albums released in Denmark in this decade¨ Ekstra Bladet 5/6
