The "Thoughts Of The Nameless" Mixtape
A mixtape that is culturally and politically relevant, contains no glamour or pretence whatsoever and captures the zeitgeist of a generation who turned twenty in the middle of an economic recession. This is the voice of west-yorkshire and its pissed off. Under attack are: increasingly irrelevant and talentless celebrities along with the media that prioritises them, detatched politicians, facist police and diamond ring-sporting, tired, would-be gangster rappers whose bank balance depicts figures way beyond their counting capabilities. On this mixtape punch lines take a back seat to a gritty, realist form of social commentary in which Prys, Jack Danz, Jay(L.I.P)Snow and Tongue Tied vent their spleen on what they regard to be a society that has all but forgotten them and the demographic they represent.
