ALL THAT JAZZ, Vol. 92 - George Lewis and Friends: Jam Session in New Orleans
George Lewis is probably the most iconic clarinetist in American Jazz history representing what is called the classical "New Orleans Tradition". Lewis's music was extremely influential on a whole generation of New Orleans Jazz musicians, and many clarinettists based their style (at least initially) on Lewis's playing among them Sammy Rimington, Tommy Sancton, Ryoichi Kawai, Woody Allen, Butch Thompson, Rudy Balliu, Acker Bilk, Jesper Capion Larsen. Here we have the master of the New Orlean Clarinet live and in full musical action supported by other great jazzmen, among them Elmer Talbert, Lawrence Marrero and Joe Watkins. All tracks have bben carefully remastered in 24 Bit High Definition.
