ABOUT THE ALBUM ---------- BILIPATRA is a collection of beautiful Sanskrit stotrams (hymns) singing the glory of Lord Shiva. Composed by Rasbihari Desai in the hindustani classical raga tradition, these hymns are sung by Rasbihariji and his wife Vibhaji. The music is arranged by noted composer and musician Ashit Desai. ABOUT THE ARTISTS ---------- RASBIHARI DESAI is a vocalist and composer who is considered one of the foremost exponents of the Gujarati Sugam Sangeet tradition. Equally talented and no less renowned is his wife, vocalist VIBHA DESAI. Well known and respected by audiences around the world, Rasbihari and Vibha Desai have toured extensively throughout India, Europe and North America over the past 30 years.
