About the Cd 'More Moves' We recorded this follow up for 'First Moves' again with an all star line-up. The 'Moves series' are Frits' and Jeroen's hobby department. It is all about music nobody is waiting for except these two. It is a platform to invite friends and there compositions or ideas to create accesible music with a double layer.... music for the real musiclovers. About the artist Frits Landesbergen Frits Landesbergen is a drummer and vibrafonist with an international standing. Born in Voorschoten in 1961, grown up in Hoorn. Graduated with honeurs in 1985 at the Sweelinck Academy of Music in Amsterdam. Won various prestigious prizes such as Wessel Ilckenprijs, Pall Mall Swing Award, AVRO broadcasting company "The Promise" and the attention of the media served him well. Since then he has a full agenda, principally within The Netherlands. Concerts with his own band, Frits Landesbergen & Friends. Yearly tours with Madeline Bell, The Rosenberg Trio, Louis van Dijk, and Cor Bakker. As a freelancer he performed with: Georgie Fame, Milt Jackson. Toots Thielemans. Eddie Daniels, Louis van Dijk, Thijs van Leer, Scott Hamilton, Joe Pass, Buddy de Franco, Monty Alexander. Frits Landesbergen is all-round. Not only is he the best Dutch jazz-vibes player, he also is an excellent drummer and arranger. He teaches vibes, drums and combo at the conservatory of The Hague, owns a booking office and is a producer and composer. Together with Jeroen de Rijk he established BAILEO MUSIC PRODUCTIONS in 1998. Baileo is a music production business who make Music commissioned for commercials, films, TV or in fact 'anything that moves'. With their own label on which they will produce CD's in the coming years with Madeline Bell, Joke Bruijs, Scott Hamilton. In 1995 he became 'endorser' of the legendary percussionname Ludwig/Musser in Europe. Frits Landesbergen performed at about 90 CD's as a 'sideman' with Madeline Bell, Ann Burton, Louis van Dijk, Laura Fygi, Rosenberg trio, Thijs van Leer, Metropole Orchestra, London Symhony Orchestra. In 2005 Frits went on tour several times in The Netherlands. A theatertour with Joke Bruijs and Louis van Dijk. En revolve of the release of the CD 'Close to Me', which is a big succes in Japan! A Christmastour with Madeline Bell. And Monty Alexander vistited The Netherlands as well. Meanwhile Frits is now accompynist of Monty Alexander's band. With Monty Alexander Frits travels all over America, Australia and Europe. In 2006 Frits appears in the theaters with Louis van Dijk's Mozart tournee. Jeroen de Rijk Jeroen de Rijk (7 February ‘62), is a free lance multi styles percussionist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He works in studios (± 300 CD's), live situations and as a clinician for Meinl Percussion Instruments and Cymbals. He is bandleader and co-producer for Cape Verdian star singer Suzanna Lubrano. Jeroen is co-initiator and vice-chairman of ‘Amsterdam World Jazz City 2014’, together with human rights Prof. Dr. Cees Hamelink. He owns a CD/DVD label and booking agency since 1998: ‘Baileo Music Productions Jeroen was chosen 'Best Percussionist of the Benelux' in '98, ’99, ’00, ’01, ’02, '03, '06, '07, ‘09 and again in 2012.
