Lifeboat Revolver

Described as an eclectic blend of rock,country,funk,blues pop, "SHANE"(Shane McMahon-guitar,vocals,(Chris Gray-drums), and (Chris Melville-bass,vocals), sent sparks flying as they dazzled crowds of bewildered onlookers in numerous clubs and bars of Wisconsin in the late 1980's. "While I was there listening to hard-core cowpunk by the group Shane, the guy sitting next top me go so hyped up he spilled two beers down his leg. A Shane original, "Charlene" is a love song to a Holstein dairy cow. No kidding." wrote Pam Brandt for America magazine in the spring of 1990. "Lifeboat Revolver" was recorded at Smart Studio's (owned by drummer Butch Vig of the band Garbage) in Madison, Wisconsin during the spring of 1988. Engineered by Doug Olson, these recordings are a true representation of the bands upbeat style and spontaneity considering almost half of the lyrics were written "on the fly" during the two short sessions. The groups video "Ride Ride Ride" was showcased on MTV's 120 minutes later that year bringing them national exposure but despite their short lived success, the band eventually disbanded in 1992. Shane McMahon (fatoak@hotmail.com) continues to pursue his music career from Los Angeles. Chris Gray currently resides in Ohio with his wife and two children (CHRIS.GRAY@SODEXHOUSA.COM)and works as a national adviser in the food service industry. Chris Melville is thought to be somewhere between Florida and Wisconsin.
