Acid Lounge. Vol. 2

Hi, my name is Dave Mascall. I am a guitarist/producer based in the UK. Sometime ago I produced an all instrumental CD entitled ACID LOUNGE. It is a 10 track album featuring some great guitar melodies and solos over some funky, laid back and up tempo dance grooves. This time together with some new highly melodic and funky instrumentals, I have collaborated with some superb female vocalists to bring an album full of emotion and soulful grooves. We have the fantastic JULIA QUINN who not only contributed some excellent vocal performances but also is credited as lyricist and co-writer on her featured tracks. The divine and highly versatile STEPH ANDREWS delivers an emotive vocal on the RnB influenced 'Now you're gone'. The incredible SARAH DEE is in fine form on 'Want you to stay' and I am pleased to have the vocal talents of the amazing CHARLU featured on the 'nu bossa' mix of the forth coming dance anthem 'Break these chains' On all the vocal and instrumental tracks, the smooth, soulful and at the same time musically engaging guitar playing, which has become my trademark, is at the fore. During my career in music, I have been privileged to play with many american soul artists including Junior Walker, Jean Carne, Sister Sledge, The Tramps and many more either at home or abroad. I have played extensively from THE RITZ to RONNIE SCOTT'S, from the ALBERT HALL to the BLUENOTE CLUB in Osaka, Japan. It was this experience that helped develop my soulful playing style combining elements of funk, soul, jazz and rock. Some of my favourite guitarists include George Benson, Lee Ritenour and Joe Pass.
