Andre Tanker now deceased is one of the most celebrated mucisian/composers to have ever come out of the Caribbean. His unique style that he called Caribbean World music has produced Classics such as Sayamanda, Forward Home, Basement Party, Hosanna, Ben Lion and lots more known the world over. Andre's accomplishments are many including work on several film and theatre scores. I ncluding Bim in 1974, What My Mother Told Me 1995 - A film for British Television. The Blessing of Charlie Sand and more. Theatre Scores include Ti Jean and His Brothers,The Dragon Can't Dance,Measure for Mesaure done for Shakespeare in Central Park starring Kevin kline, Playboy of the West Indies and more. Andre Tanker has an amazing catelogue of work some were done as live performances and have not even been put on CD as yet. Andre's first CD Chidren of The big Bang one of the best CDS to have come out of the Caribbean and by extension the world was released in 1996 and went straight to number one in Trinidad. Three new CDs have since been put out by his family wife Christine and daughter Zo-Mari who manage his estate. Greatest Hits Vol 1 in 2003, Andre Tanker Wild in 2004 and Andre Tanker LIVE in 2009
