Put It On the Line - Champion State of Mind
After selling over 20,000 downloads and various video game placements of his basketball inspired music including such hits as Put It On The Line, King Of The Court, and N.B.A (Nothing But Amazing), C.I.U is releasing his first full length album, Put It On The Line "Champion State Of Mind". Champions are focused, determined, ambitious, fearless, and committed to win, and so is C.I.U when it comes to securing a victory in the studio and on the stage. "I Live for the pressure, I work for the fame, and put it all on the line each and every game" - C.I.U C.I.U has always been inspired by such NBA champions as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James so he decided to create an album that explores the mind of a champion. What makes a champion go that extra mile? What makes a champion give it everything thing they’ve got, then give a little more? What makes a champion give 200% while others are content with 100%? What makes a champion put it all on the line? C.I.U's music is inspired by basketball, however Put It On The Line "Champion State Of Mind" applies to champions of all sports and people at the top of their game. The album embodies the feeling of winning the game with a buzzer beater and winning a national championship. It’s that moment where everything comes together, the hustle and consistency pay off, and you are in your zone. You have a "Champion State Of Mind". The album’s intro is the point guard. It sets the tone with intense strings and jaw dropping vocals from "Nikki Da Jukebox" . It asks the ultimate question, “How bad do you want it?” To be a champion you have to want it bad enough to do what it takes to bring home the victory. "Put It On The Line" plays the center position. It is the foundation of the franchise. "Sports Center" is the power forward. It goes hard from beginning to end. "N.B.A (Nothing But Amazing)" is the shooting guard. It consistently hits the spot from mid and long range. "Just Do It " is the small forward. It is only 2 minutes and 25 seconds long, but it gets the job done. The "T.E.A.M" is a group of "Original Individuals" that are "Warriors" on the court, "Committed" to be "Winners", and "Conquerors" to the point that not only do you "Notice It" you become part of the "Magic Moment". The victory becomes yours and that "1 Long Day" gets even longer.
