Silver Dollars
Silver Dollars' debut EP features the rugged whiskey soaked lead vocals of Colin Scott Reynolds supported by the harmonies of percussionist Pete Sustarsic and guitarist/bassist Dylan Treleven. Additional singers Haley Zoller and Veronica Davila add a further richness to the EP's vocal tapestry. Treleven's buttery Telecaster licks and melodic baselines along with Reynolds' articulate acoustic finger picking weave an intricate web over drummer Jay Clancy's eclectic grooves. Treleven fills out the sound with lap steel, B3 Organ, and Wurlitzer on various tracks while Jonatham Lam lends his tasteful pedal steel guitar to two tracks as well. Silver Dollars' worldly lyricism and classic American melodies pay tribute to the members' roots on the wooded shores of the Puget Sound and in the open farmlands of rural Ohio, while the music's gritty frayed-denim edges evince the sway of band's current haunts on the streets of New York City.
