The Journey
It's so important for me to constantly stay creative. But at the same time it's natural as well. And in being creative I'm always driven by perfection and innovation. Not because I need to be perfect and need to be the most innovative, but because having that mindset keeps me motivated. Every small detail in this craft matters to me. I could never make a great instrumental, and have okay lyrics, or a great message but record over just any beat. It's the entire production to me. From the idea, the sound, the arrangement, the message, and then sharing it with the world, every phase is thoroughly thought through. Each track is created entirely from scratch. Every melody, bass line, drum pattern, or instrument is my original composition. And every line written is carefully worked out. In that obsessive to detail mentality though, There is another side of the process. This is the love and natural drive that makes what I do effortless and fun. And that's the key. As much as I can talk about creating this project independently, I would be leaving out the most important part. And that's that creating this is anything but a solo job. Music is inspiration and emotion. You don't get that from isolation. I couldn't make music without the company of great family and friends. They play as much of a role in this process in the album as I do. The never ending takes of each song I'd have them listen to, the feed back and conversation, but most importantly the support. I'm proud of what I've made. Confident, and excited to share with world. I hope as much as I put in someone can take from the music.
