“Listen to the Beat,” is their motto and a true reflection of Side F/X band’s down-to-earth style and infectious performance of their love of music. A Washington D.C. band that loves to tell melodic tales, Side F/X has been playing together regularly throughout the metro area for more than two years. The pop group offers a colorful spectrum of sounds, running the style gamut from blues to indie and modern rock. Fans rave that Side F/X is “Super inFXectious,” and so addictive it can be “bad for your health.” Side F/X recently released their first album, Contradictions, a compilation of stories. “They’re stories about us, our friends, our family, stories where you’ll likely see a window into yourself,” says Kim, lead singer and songwriter. The lyrics – written by Kim and Chris Nikpora – speak to life’s journey, exploring emotional relationships and drawing strength from life experiences.
