We’re always surprised when Daktyl sends us new music… just never quite sure what to expect when we press play. That sort of enigma is definitely the most attractive feature in the Brit’s music, it’s a rare ability to be able to switch between the calm, melodic, mesmerising & then the heavy, all out, bass driven madness. The ‘Marlena’ EP is the latter, a three track thumper of a release, teaming up with fellow artists Howie Lee & OZZIE for anthems designed to make the club shake. From the UK vibin’ ‘Marlena’, right through to the trap influenced ‘Shake Dat’, we’re certain these beats are being put into good use currently on the Daktyl USA/Canada tour until the end of October. It’s undoubtedly a contrast to the music Daktyl contributed to the 3am series, the hypnotising ‘You there’ remix which will fit closer to theme of his upcoming album released next year.
