For over 30 years pianist/arranger/musical director Alvaro Carbarcas, better known as Pelusa, has plied his craft with such diverse musical acts such as Grupo Niche, Fruko y sus Tesos, Joe Arroyo, Tito Gomez, Andy Montanez, Oscar de Leon, Maelo Ruiz, and many others. Now's the time for Pelusa & La Banda Caramba to take center stage and bring to the masses all that he has to offer musically. The initial idea for "Escuela De Salsa", the debut recording from Pelusa & La Banda Caramba, arose when the artist's song, "Escuela De Salsa", was selected as the theme song for the 2010 Feria De Cali, the largest Salsa festival in the world.
