B018 Series, Vol.1 (Mixed by Gunther & Stamina)

B018, Beirut's premier underground clubbing phenomenon team up with Ready Mix Records to introduce a new compilation series capturing the energy, spirit, and dedication of Lebanon’s EDM scene. The first volume in this series compiled and mixed by B018’s resident decknicians Gunther & Stamina. B018 Hosts the world’s best and brightest talents of the electronic music scene on a consistent basis, in a truly unique and sophisticated atmosphere, far exceeding industry standards and expectations as the leader & pioneer of the underground scene in the Middle East. The Beirut Nightlife has fully blossomed as of late, and B018 is its crown jewel. The Concept established by owner Naji Gebran, began over 20 years ago, during the years of the civil war, providing a safe haven for open-minded music lovers. From his humble studio / apartment numbered B 018, Gebran moved his legendary concept to the next level, he teamed up with world renowned architect Bernard Khoury who designed and built the venue in the industrial sector of north east Beirut. In 1998, the present incarnation of B018 opened its doors to the public at “La Quarantaine”, where it remains to this very day. In 2004, 2005, and 2006, B018 was awarded the #5 position by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the best clubs in the world. In 2009, “the world’s best clubs and bars” also awarded the venue with the #5 position and finally, B018 was #67 in 2010 and #40 in 2011 on the prestigious “DJ MAG TOP 100 BEST CLUB” poll. B018 was also featured in numerous international newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, Air France Mag, Wallpaper Mag, DJ Mag UK, DJ Mag Middle East, Vogue Homme International and Bar & Club Design, to name but a few. Gunther Sabbagh & Stamina aka Elias Merheb are considered by many to be the Heart & Soul of the Beirut underground. Since 2006, they’ve held a residency at B018, playing every weekend to a packed dancefloor. G&S also hold a star residency on Mix FM (Officially the #1 Radio Station in the Middle East) where their show airs every Saturday night. Gunther & Stamina have played along with such notable international artists as John Digweed, Richie Hawtin, Danny Howells, Sasha & Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Deep Dish, Carl Cox, and Sander Kleinenberg. Gunther & Stamina’s mix provides a snapshot of their musical expertise, weaving the best sounds of today’s progressive leaning tech house scene. With such notable artists as Sebastian Davidson, Innate, Francesco Pico, Stan Kolev, Dom Kane, CID Inc, Beat Factory, Ricky Ryan; and labels like Outside the box, Baroque, Aenaria, Sick Watona and Toolroom, they create a unique vibe, that captures the essence of a night @ B018!
