“dinosaur rock for the new millennium” Karmatruffle is a band with something to say. Signed to a UK independent label after only six months together, this four-piece outfit has been delighting audiences all over Europe with its raw brand of sixties-influenced power pop. The band's first single, 'She's Not All That,’ was released in July 2005. This is what Alan Haber, host of the Pure Pop radio show, had to say about it: "I've just been to your CD Baby page and I'm absolutely floored! This is great pop-rock, well-written, bowing to the past, but very much here in the present. I'm knocked out by all three songs on offer: the rocking 'A Better Way,’ the Who-meets-garage rocker 'She's Not All That,’ and the very sixties mid-tempo pop song 'Let It Go,’ with its entrancing melody and hooky chorus (also, very cool guitars). From the Small Faces influenced 'I Wanna See You Again’ to the Mersey-sound of 'Trying To Get Out Of The Rain’, it’s clear that Karmatruffle is still indebted to its sixties heroes.
