Just Enough

Owen and the Ghosts is the musical project of 24 year-old Owen Hemming from Chicago. Owen is rising through the scene in the Chicago area. He plays a genre called Grit Rock. This is a style of rock and roll with edge and emotion to it but nothing your grandma can't enjoy. His first professional EP, "Just Enough", has four original songs in a singer-songwriter style. It is personal, at times soft, and at others gripping. The first song, "How Much I Miss You", is a moving and upbeat acoustic ballad draped in folk tradition. "All She Wants Is Love" is a lyrical testament and story about a girl's relationship. "Shadows" is a poetic and fast-rocking jam that utilizes a catchy riff. Finally, Owen closes out the EP on the electric guitar with "The Graveyard Song". This song beautifully tells the story of a lost love. In the vein of Neil Young or Wilco, Owen delivers a very impressive mix of rock songs on "Just Enough" and shows off his pure talent.
