Love Songs From Yesterday
A rare and introductory series of rare and unreleased music from the vaults of the Philadelphia based publishing company Emandolynn Music Co. Inc. With an emphasis on Love and Relationship themed music, this compilation contains music never released from the 60's to 80's, ranging from artist like the Ray Charles protégé Willie J Moody, to relatively unknown groups such as New Jersey's own Nurons who had several classic 45's, that are still in high demand, particularly in Europe. Willie J Moody is an Albany, Georgia native from the same hometown as his early mentor, Ray Charles. Moody first performed with Ray Charles in 1979 at the age of 7 when Georgia House of Representatives John White who co-authored the legislation to make "Georgia On My Mind" the state's anthem. Ray instantly took a liking to young Moody who later went on to perform for the Kennedy's, as well as performances with Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Kenny Rogers and B.B. King to name a few. Now in his 30's, Willie Moody continues to perform all over the world, and will be releasing his debut album in late 2011. Tomorrows Wish was a Atlanta, Georgia unisex group consisting of two females and one male lead, who recorded several R&B singles in the late 70's, but never released. A few years later, they went on and recorded a full gospel album under Glory Bound Records in the 80's. The group disbanded shortly after, and never recorded again. The Nu-Rons released several 45's including the rare northern soul classics "All My Life", "I'm A Loner", and "Disco Hustle". The Nu-Rons are said to be one of the best groups out of the Philly/Jersey soul music scene at the time. The Nu-Rons recordings are very rare and obscure released from Stage Art label in the mid 70's. Chester, Pennsylvania's own Delights were a soul group consisting of 4 males and 1 female lead, who recorded a full album that ultimately never came out once the group disbanded and joined other groups. Vari was an Atlanta based 3 member male group who released their debut self titled album in the 80's, now living and working all over Europe. Though little facts are known about most of these artist and groups, what stands true is the age old monicker "Classic music never dies" Thanks for listening, Emandolynn Music Co. Inc
