Sliding into Third
Tim Koss is a composer, bassist, and singer who has performed since the early 1970’s with a variety of jazz, rock and classical groups in the Pacific Northwest. He composes and records in the classic jazz styles of the 50’s and 60’s. Koss has performed from concert halls to coffee houses, with some of the great musicians in the Seattle and Puget Sound area. He has also played on stage and in the studio with notable stars, such as Ray Charles, Ernestine Anderson, Harry Allen, and Brian Auger. Koss composes small group jazz instrumental pieces. In 1998 he released his first CD, "Home Run," a collection of original tunes. His second CD released in 2001, "Daddyo's Double Play," has more songs in the styles of Latin-jazz, ballads, blues and hard bop. Koss' music has been be heard on the soundtracks of several films and TV shows, including a segment of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," and commercial spots for radio and television.
