Also, I was hearing “War” in national TV commercials and on the radio. So I said there’s no way I could leave “War” off this tribute project since this song was the most important recording of Starr career and the most controversies song in the 70’s because of the Vietnam war. Around a year later I got a call from a producer in London that had just covered the Edwin Starr hit “War” featuring none other than Patrick Allen and they asked for my assistance with the project. After listing to Pat’s cover of “War” which was so outstanding I agreed to lend my service with their antiwar promotion efforts in London which turn out being very successful.
