Madness
After a couple of years traveling back and forth from Indiana and Tennessee to record, Aaron Moses has released "Madness", his second full-length studio album. The subject matter within "Madness" tackles everything from drugs (mainly the the mental and physical anguish of addiction) to Deism, love, chaos, perseverance, hope and hopelessness. From full-band production kindly pushing southwestern, desert-weeping electric guitars, to bare-soul acoustic and synth recordings, Moses weaves the songs in an organized pattern while pushing the songs to their organized "limit". Starting with a sense of urgency in the opening song and title track, "Madness" and in the searching of the second track titled "Or So They Say", the album seeks and slithers from song-to-song, while more personal expressions begin to overshadow the simple urgency and fun of the 1st half of the album. It gets darker, opening up to deeper desperation and asking heavier questions, some without answers. Take a listen to the 2nd album from the Nashville-based Aaron Moses on May 7, 2013.
