Waterworks

The mode of JGarrett's 'Waterworks' EP is funk-inflected, Great Lakes Techno. The original mix of 'Waterworks' uses raw, jacking, precise, analog rhythms as the foundation for a tweaky, circular bass line that recalls early days Detroit minimal. 'Isolated Jack' busts in with hyper-repetitive, tracky Acid that stakes out its spot deep within abstract grooves. In the final track on the release Brendon Moeller takes 'Waterworks' and dubs it out with dirty reverbs and thoroughly up-to-date signal mashing... turning the tweaky original into a surging, modern Techno stomper.
