Mosquito: Yellow Fever

Hailing from Kamplala, Uganda, Kirya, was introduced to music at an early age through the church choir and local bands. Born in a rural village in Eastern Uganda, Kirya's music has evolved from the church taking new form through his involve- ment in local jazz schools in CapeTown. Kirya has toured Europe and the Middle East and is currently based in Cape Town, South Africa. His experiences in South Africa and Africa continue to shape his outlook on life and musical expression. Currently a freelancer, soloist,percussionist, vocalist and performing musician, he is collaborating with local and international musicians on his first debut CD featuring original compositions. This CD expresses the reality of the African people. Kirya is eager to share his music style --Afro beat, fusion and Highlife, described as Makuti's Music.
