The Kelly Project is a band that plays songs that draw from a diverse mix of musical genres. Their influences vary from The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Sting to Femi Kuti, Incubus, Maceo Parker and Blind Faith. With their fist self titled album and their second CD/DVD, "Live", the soon to be realeased, "Out There", The Kelly Project is a world class act on the verge of discovery. Singer/guitarist Mike Kelly and guitarist Vincent Palma are the driving force behind the Kelly Project. Friends since college, Kelly and Palma have been composing and collaborating musically since 1997. The Kelly Project's sound is a culmination of their creative efforts, fusing different styles such as Funk, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Latin and World Beat, The Kelly Project like to experiment enough to push the envelope and keep their listeners involved. Expanding to include bassist Bertrand Valville, percussionist Benny Arocho, and drummer Wayne Rosario The Kelly Project has fused their varied musical personalities and backgrounds to create a unique and unmistakably original sound.
