About HAVASI On a solid background in classical music ... Balazs Havasi, pianist and composer (1975-). Piano has become his life at the age of four when his absolute hearing was discovered and he was recognized as a prodigy. He studied at the piano faculty of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. He was considered an exceptional talent, who was incredibly motivated by challenges and competitive situations. He used to practice as much as ten hours a day to achieve the best he can. In 1996, at the age of 21 he was already teaching piano at the conservatory of Budapest. During the first years his pupils were often older than him. His classes soon became filled by youth, while he gained prestige with his knowledge and his informality. He realized the immense responsibility of teaching and has matured into a true mentor... He’s built up a massive repertoire as a performer of classical music, gave concerts in several European cities and won a number of piano competitions - including the Yamaha Piano Contest organized by the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe. A piano artist who is a world recorder of his instrument has unique abilities. He’s created a brand new world of music that can’t be compared to anything ... Successful concerts, TV interviews, spotlight - yet he didn’t find what he was looking for... until 2007, a turning point in his quest for his own path. This year he waved (a not necessarily final) goodbye to the crossover genre to dedicate his life to his own compositions. Roused by the reception of his first, self-published album titled “Piano” he’s produced a second, limited edition record, “Seven”. Seeing the huge success of these two works it became obvious that this was to be the path to follow, and Havasi completed the collection with his third album, “Infinity” and introduced abroad the musical world that he himself created. Havasi has been playing live concerts since 2004 in the ex-Yugoslavian states. Thanks to his being invited by the Sarajevo, in front of 25 thousand people. greatest stars to their concerts, the Hungarian artist has become a real darling of the media. In May, 2006 he was the special guest of the concert of Zeljko Samardzic in Beograd, while in September, 2007 he played the piano at Dino Merlin’s concert in Sarajevo, in front of 25000 people.
