In 1961, the 11er Panzer-Grenadier-Division music corps with soldiers chorus recorded this selection of traditionnal german military marches and songs. At the head of this formation was the major Hans Friess. He began conducting military music formations during the war as the "General Goering regiment" army band. In 1955 he was the first music officer appointed to the new german armed forces, the Bundeswehr. Enjoy this music interpreted with the true prussian spirit.
