Boil Over
I'm a 17 year old college freshman with a desire to move people through music. I will be attending Belmont University, located in Nashville, TN, this coming fall. Over the last couple years I've been working on my first solo CD called "Boil Over", which was released in May 2007. I am a firm believer that the purpose of music extends much farther than merely entertainment. God has used music to change my life from a glum puddle of despair into a brilliant force with a bright future. I plan to use the talents God has given me to make that opportunity available to others. Music is simply so much better when it is full of the Spirit of God. Hands down. That is why my goal in college (and life) is to merge the musical excellence of artists and bands I look up to, such as Mute Math, Tobymac, and Switchfoot, with the spiritual power found in the music of worship leaders such as Misty Edwards, David Ruis, Kim Clement, Rita Springer, and Rick Pino. These qualities together will produce an unprecedented sound unrivaled by anyone. I'm nowhere near where I want to be either musically or spiritually. But I'm looking for people who see the need for powerful music that carries the Holy Spirit in our society today. I have my goal set before me, and I'm just waiting for my work to be cut out for me. I'm trusting God with my life and my future, in college and beyond. In the meantime, enjoy the music! Of course, nowhere near perfect, but it is all that a high school student could record at his house and produce before he graduated. So take a listen, and if you like it and you appreciate the vision I hold for my life and music, or if you simply would like to support a well-to-do music major at Belmont University, please don't hesitate to pick up a copy for yourself and spread the word. Thanks and God bless your life.
